Inspirational Women
September 19th, 2007 by Lesley CowleyI attended the launch event for the UK Inspirational Women’s network this week. The whole idea is to get together a group of inspirational women to coach and inspire other women to develop meaningful and rewarding careers. We’re all up for this work.
You couldn’t help but be inspired by some of the speakers and fellow members. In particular, Barbara Follett MP was very impressive. Whilst I have an inbuilt cynicism of any politician, you couldn’t help but be impressed by her life story. This includes the assassination of her 1st husband, work with the poor in South Africa, a forced escape to the UK, stacks of charity work, a long political career, an interest in Star Trek together with her current work as Minister for Equality.
I left the meeting unexpectedly inspired!
